The China-Indonesia People-to-People Exchange Forum and the Launch Ceremony of the New Book China’s Image in Indonesia’s Eyes: A Study on China-Indonesia People-to-People Exchanges were held in Jakarta, Indonesia, on September 25. Nearly 100 participants attended the event, including representatives from the academic and publishing sectors of both countries, as well as teachers and students from the Adhyaksa Law School of the Indonesian Attorney General’s Office. The attendees discussed people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.
Adila, Director of the Indonesia-China Research Center for Law, Culture and Investment at the Adhyaksa Law School of the Indonesian Attorney General’s Office, stated that from the Bandung Conference to the joint building of the China-Indonesia Community with a Shared Future, exchanges between the two countries in people-to-people fields such as education, law, and culture have been continuously deepened. People-to-people exchange is the cornerstone of promoting understanding and trust between the peoples of the two countries, and the newly published book provides academic reference for understanding China’s image in Indonesian society and advancing further practical exchanges between the two sides.
Al Busyra Bashur, Chairman of the Indonesia-China Friendship Association, noted that reading contributes to promoting China-Indonesia people-to-people exchanges and people-to-people bonds, and the newly published book will inject new vitality into cooperation between the two countries in education and culture. Li Kailong, General Manager of China Renmin University Press, said that the book not only presents original research by Indonesian scholars on China’s image but also provides reference for people-to-people exchanges between the two countries with detailed data and practical suggestions.
This event was co-hosted by the Indonesia-China Research Center for Law, Culture and Investment and the Publishing Cooperation Alliance of Countries Co-building the "Belt and Road Initiative."
